Swish, net, watch it fall
Over, under, grab the ball
Bounce, bounce, bounce, spring
Watch the run, risk everything
Reach tall, and don't forget
Aim for the box behind the net
Attempt an offstandish, easy-as-pie look
But they'll see your struggle as you move in for the hook
Some have it, others don't
Some can learn it, others won't
Too short, too fat, not enough skill
Overlooked though they have the will
Just a game, points on a board
Seeking in the end for some final reward
The glory in Hoosier basketball
Will come only to those who have it all
