Very moving, yet saddening...
I know exactly how you feel... *remembers better days* -sigh-
Well, I enjoyed this write alot, and whatever you may write, I'm sure it will be excellent. I hummed this tune to myself, even... a sure hit!

I just happened upon your name the other day and I am angry I have been missing these words up until now. This is absolutely gorgeous. I know the feelings you describe all to well, and it's pure torture. Best thing I've read in forever. I'm glad your among the YPDC elite.
