A Lover's Song
River's of emotion, flowing gently on
the surface of a lover's song.
Portraying only some hidden desire
trying to quelch the affect of unleashed fire.
Words and melody, meaning much
when it is shared with someone's gentle touch.
Sometimes, a melody heard by only two
but it set the stage for love anew.
Even though the song may end, drifting away
As two lover's heart's have had their say,
their minds have experienced a special sight
seeing together the words of a song on a rainy night.
Rain's music so gentle, from a cloud on high,
that has caused their hearts to yield a great sigh.
It was warm and cleansing on a hot summer night
felt even when two lover's were out of sight.

I could close my eyes, see the flash of lightning, hear the rolling of the thunder, and the patter of the gentle rain. The smell of the rain and the moment of two lovers in each others arms.
Very Beautiful Poem and dream.. Thank you for sharing, from that gentle heart. |

Beautiful, emotional word painting, June. This is lovely. It reminds me of rainy afternoon in NOLA sitting on the porch with a loving friend. This brought back beautiful memories of a happy time.
