What Now?

What Now? Withered body, crumpled soul, age begins to take it's toll. What Now? Withered body, crumpled soul, age begins to take it's toll. Mind wanders, back to then, never to be like that again. Heart aching, needing a touch.. instead of this unslightly crutch. Tears warm upon my cheek, almost, but not quite...accepting defeat! ****************************** Just that quickly, like a dove's wings....doubt flew, was it because I had learned what other's knew? Space in it's infinity needed not my self-pity reap only my creativity had been in need of a deep sleep. Raging emotion, like the waves on the endless sea, threatened to wash out to the horizon what was left of me. But the power of will, and instinct to survive and the unseen helping hand, let's me know I'm alive. Author: June E. Miller (Justalady) 2/10/2002

this is so sad but beautifully written...i love how it's divided into almost two sides of a coin...like the first verse is so hopeless and then at the end of the second there's a light at the end of the tunnel...well done...i hope you are better now in every way...take care |
