I take and I hold. Everything is dear to me. Weak and thin. I tremble at that thought.
Older I grow. Wiser I seem. Why do I keep making the same mistakes. Never to learn from those of the past.
My eyes weary and blurred. Soft and milky they seem. I cant see you now. I could never see you then.
As do I. I long for death. Like a slave at his last meal. The bread breaks, but only crumbs escape.
This life is what I made it. I chose my path. I am the light for my future. Only to be put out.
