If I could turn back the hands of time
I'd take it back eighteen years
To prevent the mistake I know I was
And erase all the uncried tears
If I could go back into the past
I'd try to do some good
Instead of causing the trouble I have
And hurting everyone I could
If I could build a time machine
You never would've met me
Believe me, you'd be better off
Maybe someday you'll see
If I could turn back the hands of time
I'd take it back eighteen years
And I'd watch the pain all over again
I inflicted on my elders and peers
But I can't change the past at all
I'm stuck with the life I'm picking
There is no pause, and no rewind
And time just keeps on ticking
There is no magic time machine
I can't erase the pain I bring
And if I could turn back the hands of time
I wouldn't change a thing.
