the one i loved, i let go to grow
to become more than i was to be more than i was,
to off the path i was on,
to find my focus in life,
i made a mistake.
i cannot retrace my steps,
the paths have broken,
my life is lonely,
im lonely,
i want the one i loved,
i have no luck shes now love struck,
though her eyes are not looking at me.
a year has passed,
my feelings unchanged,
i love the one i let go,
to let her grow.
she faultered, my fault its felt,
she struggled through,
she made it too,
i the one i loved,
the one i let go.
i still want her love,
though wishing i am,
i feel like that lost little lamb,
a tart i am called,
harshness is called,
love is my defence,
i wish i could get over its fence.
To move i want,
to move on i must,
i can not have the one i loved,
the one i let go.
