Singing Castrato

Contributed by Butterat_Zool on Thursday, 26th September 2002 @ 09:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

It takes a man to go to war
And kill his human kin.
It takes a man to take a woman,
ravage her with sin.
It takes a man to duel with guns
At noontime on the grounds.
It takes a man to suffer
Through a dying childs sounds.

Im feeling very weak
And I havent got a clue.
I wish that things were different
And I wish the same for you.
Lets focus on the family
And when the night is through,
Ill be Slingerlands castrato.
Ill be sleeping on a pew.

I feel like some white rabbit
With red evil in its eyes
I hate the outside world
But I couldnt hurt a fly.
Im stoned and I am ugly
And Id really rather die.
I cant enjoy the she-bunnies
I cant understand why.

I wish I had a sex drive
And damn this stridor voice
It scrapes against my soul
And reminds me of the choice
That Father Flanagan had made.
Could this be any wrier?
My head feels like a cat
As its spinning in a dryer.

Im feeling very weak
And I havent got a clue.
I wish that things were different
And I wish the same for you.
Lets focus on the family
And when the night is through,
Ill be Slingerlands castrato.
Ill be sleeping on a pew.

it certainly did come out well, I loved it. I do feel sorry for my son sometimes, men cant seem to do right for doing wrong these days.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
