The files of personal things I wrote
Now so many blue moons ago,
You know those private little rhymes
The ones not for public show!
Keep shouting and screaming at me
From the bottom of their drawers,
'Let us out we deserve our freedom',
But that's not what you're written for!
I have to keep lying to them
Trying to lessen their noisy yells,
'One day I'll make a book of you,
A good chance you might sell'!
No intention of doing this really
They're too personal for others to see,
I do love them all with equality
But these are for the eyes of only me!
The only time they're really silenced
Is when I'm free to write new stuff,
Recently the screams were unbearable
When unable to scribble enough!
But now, for the while they seem happy
With not much at all to say,
It's probably because I've just added
Some friends with which they can play!

Dean, this poem is really cute. And very good. I am also very curious about them. maybe you should share. Personally I have shared some things that I wasn't ready to share, but the comments I have gotten have helped with dealing with that. And I kind of like other people (aside from my friends and family) commenting of my writing.

Hey Candice,
Some of the language in some of these is pretty appalling so they wouldn't get shown anyway, and they're really personal to me who's not at all ready to show them to anyone at this point in time!
I'm sure one or two of them will sneak their way out eventually, or I may merge bits of them within other writes I'm hopefully going to get done!

I can understand about them being too personal. I myself have quite a few poems that I don't think that I will share with anyone, not even my really close friends.
