i now must move on
for everything must come to an end
and my feeling for you are gone
down to only as a friend
you told me first
that your love faded away
it ripped my heart apart
but only that first day
now its only my past to me
memories in my mind
when all i needed was us to be we
and all i wanted was to push rewind
im ver that painfull feeling
like it was a cut on my arm
i just put a bandaid over it
not letting it cause harm
i now look back at what happened
and all that was said and heard
it makes no sense to me
all of this that occured
i just now moved on
that my feelings are now gone
well, you meant for this to happen
and i was just hoping it was wrong
im glad though
that we are only friends
because just like you i was sick and tired
of playing this game of pretend
