The winter wind
Brings death on the plains
In the form of a freezing blow.
The rustling leaves are quiet now
Under the blanket of snow.
The winter wind
Makes a howl through the trees
As if to say, beware
Reminding things of winter's past
And the death that was almost theirs.
But in its path a defiant bud
Looks up as if to say
Your time is short,
So best beware,
For spring is on its way.

Wow..the imagery here was perfect!!! I loved this....it makes me wish I could experience that winter wind some day..
