It Matters Not

Contributed by Vitreous_Soul on Saturday, 17th April 2004 @ 08:14:03 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

O'er purling waters of oceans azure
And whirling crosswinds from depthless fissure
'Top mountain's spire, a zenith unsure
Through fountain of tears runs ardour so pure

When beclouded by deep shadows of doubt
Or enshrouded with all feelings devout
To extrude two souls from a destined route
To intrude betwixt; leaving hearts without

Broken heart in shattered wisps
Seems truculent time forgot
Faith-born gale renews concord
In the end time matters not

From elliptic dreams, sleep insentient
To cryptic visions of virtue besprent
A desire great for wishes content
To inspire life with ev'ry moment

'Neath candescent moon, in cascading sheen
In prominent June, ignites verdant green
Through windows flung wide, gaze landscapes serene
Crescendos astride, reverie pristine

Distant souls, two worlds apart
Fadeless bond, concurrent thought
Pearl wind carries love abroad
Longest distance matters not

In days ahead, despite discord
Prevail ordeals, find what was sought
At rainbow's end lies treasure bright
In pearl wind's touch our bliss was caught

Remember this, forget the tests---
In God's embrace they matter not

wow! Dan that is so beautiful, and it means so much to me as well. The rhythm, the way it flows. I love it all. It means more to me than I think you'll ever realise

Yet another awesome write from you! I can't beleive how many you reel out! It's just amazing.

Beautiful!!

It is a very beautiful heartfelt poem.
Soul mates can withstand anything, just cling to each other and it will all work out.
Great poem V.

I'm not sure I agree with you that everyone has a soul mate but this is a beautiful poem. Top class.

I envy your source of inspiration, despite the misgivings I have about such relationships.
Once again, a truly mellifluous work, *grins* Besprent with sparkling diction.
Laudably done.

It's seldom one finds such an effortless flow of words combined with so true and great a sentiment and vision. The last line was my favorite, and quite deserving to be quoted anywhere.
Bravo!

There are soulmates and at the right time and place they can come together. If it's in God's will it will be. Another awesome write as you well know. Have you found your purpose yet?
