HEART AND MIND

Contributed by Robert_Edgar_Burns on Saturday, 28th September 2002 @ 10:40:00 AM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

I have been quite ill for long.
But lately Im feeling fine.
So I spend most of my day
Just writing Valentines.

They talk about the love there is
Inside two lovers hearts.
And how they promise not to leave,
Or ever stray apart.

I send them out to all my friends.
Thats how I show my love.
And if theyd rather have money,
Then my words have been undone.

I hope that they do realize,
That money can not buy,
What comes from deep within my heart,
That often makes me cry.

I try to write my feelings down,
In words theyll understand.
So that when they read these letters,
Theyll see the essence of this man.

And if they cant
Theyll never see,
The depth of love
That flows through me.

So you may not like these words I wrote.
You may even be unkind.
But please remember that they came,
From within my heart and mind.
