The Tear

A glistening tear
A smiling face
A heart overcome with fear
A soul without a place

No place to go
No place to hide
No one can know
In no one can it confide

Lost in this life
Alone and afraid
Overcome by strife
This soul starts to fade

Into the depths of darkness
Into the pit of fear
With no one to caress
And it all started with a tear
