Please carry on without me

Contributed by Amanda-Ruth on Tuesday, 20th April 2004 @ 05:08:40 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

I'm sorry I cannot be there,
To have and to hold you near,
But I really would like you to know,
That I'm having fun up here!

I'm watching over you everyday,
Just like I was before,
And although I can't physically touch you,
I sense that your heart is sore

But believe me I am happy,
And I'm free from pain or fear,
And our love, I still feel reaching me,
The stars, they bring it near

So please carry on and remember,
To laugh like you used to do,
Because nothing would make me more happy, than to see another smile from you.

I understand that you're feeling pain,
Believe Me, I'm feeling it too,
But you must learn to carry on,
And look forward to all things new

You see, that love we had, it will never die,
I've taken it here with me,
And I keep it alive with each day that goes by,
And that will always be

I know that I'm not physically there,
To wipe those tears away,
But please take comfort in the fact,
That we'll again be together someday

So keep those memories close to heart,
And remember me with a smile,
And do not see it as though 'I'm forever gone',
Yet see it as 'I'm gone for a while'

And I'll always be here if you should want,
To whisper into the night,
For those stars will take those words from you, and bring them to my height

So goodbye for now, I'll see you soon,
When God decides it's right,
But for now, you must let me go,
As i take my heavenly flight

The last words I want to say to you,
Are the most important yet,
'Our love is as strong as ever before'
-Those words please never forget-

A beautiful person and friend
I miss you.always.
