Where have the summers gone;
Those childhood days of innocence?
We're older now,
And somewhat wiser.
We have changed.
In many ways, yes,
We have changed.
Friendships lost,
Some gained,
Ours constant.
Of likes and dislikes,
We've had our share.
I've stood by your side,
You've stood by mine.
Sorrows shared,
Joys celebrated,
All together.
I'll be there for you
If you are there for me,
Yours is the friendship
I'll keep in my heart
For forever and eternity.
