sometimes I want to hold you untill the pain goes away
but then I wake up and see things for what they really are today
fantasy and empty promises that will never be filled
heartache and memories that are forever killed
pain and sorrow fill my heart from when you left
why I do not know, it is anybodys guess
sometimes I think you will return with a kind smile and maybe words of love
only to be let down again by heartaches final shove
