The wind blows silently
As I started your way
My heart raced
Could this really be the day?
4 long years have gone by
While waiting for this hot summer night
I look into your eyes
And I really can see the light
I was only 14 at the time
Still to young for you
But you loved me anyway
And waiting was what you'd do
So as the days turned to weeks
And the months to years
I never once cried
A river or tears
Because you never hurt me
You just loved me through
And waited till this day
To say "I do"
So as I step up by your side
You softly take my hand
And promise to forever love me
And always be my man
And to seal this true love
That has grown in time
A kiss is made
Between your lips and mine.
