The last thing I expected
was to get to see you
it came as a shock to me
and you never even knew
I never believed it when you said
that you'd come and meet me
because you always seemed to be busy
and were hardly ever free
But when you came, I realised
that you are my friend
and so what if you're just a chat friend
this friendship couldn't possibly end.
Occasional arguments keep going on
and then we quit keeping in touch
but deep inside we know that we are friends
and it doesn't hurt that much
And once again when you message me
with an ever bouncy "HI"
the grey clouds give rise to the sun
in the turquoise blue sky
I know you care, I know you'll be there
but you just put up a disguise
you just like to make me happy
with every other surprise.
