Ashes scatter across the table
Like the thoughts in my head
Misplaced
Chaotic
When will I get it right?
I ash my cigarette
He sleeps
I ponder
Light the fire of our love
I light another cigarette
Yesterdays echo in my brain
Flowing like a cool breeze
Smiling
In the realms of memory
Gone
Yesterdays always are
Tomorrow
I'm scared
I'm scarred
Alone
Loved
Somewhere in the middle
The ends meet
