Echoes of yesterday's wishes march on through time
To the beat of a different drum...
They rhyme
To the beat of a different tune...
They hum
Echoes of yesterday's dreams stir and rattle through my mind
Leaving my thoughts ravaged...
Night after night
As I dream a little dream of you...
To abridge the gap we fell through
As my love for you grows and grows...
Day after day
Into a beautiful rose...
It will be shaped by God's own way
How can you love someone... so much...
That it hurts... so bad...
At the very thought of them?
You just want to give love...
With a hug...
And hold them close to you...
Every chance you're given to do
But somehow... that's impossible...
As the miles come between us
And the visits...
They're rare
So... what I am to do... with this love... I have for you?
Maybe... one day... my wishes and dreams will come true
If I wish hard enough...
And if I dream long enough...
My wishes and dreams will become a reality
'Cause as I walk through this life...
Without you by my side...
My wishes are just wishes...
And my dreams are just dreams...
Without you in my life...
All is lost... it seems
My tears...
They fall down like rain...
Upon life's windowpane...
As my thoughts roam my heart...
To find you sitting just where...
I left you from the start...
Greiving over all our wishes and dreams
Maybe... one day... our wishes and dreams will come true
If we wish hard enough..
And if we dream long enough...
Our wishes and dreams will become a reality
For me...
For you...

I hope in time all your wishes and dreams come true. It must be very difficult to love someone who is not there all the time. I wish you the very best in love and in life.
