once shattered

Topic: LovePoetry

once shattered was my beating heart, I opened it up to see it torn apart. Not knowing if I wanted to see the light of day, you took my hand and showed me the way. No I thought, as i looked deep into your eyes, but you soothed my torn heart and took me by surprise. You touched deeper then any could have hoped, just to strengthen that faint glimmer of hope. You made me feel something so deep within my soul, I thought I had lost it forever, that something that they stole. You mended my heart and made me whole, renewing this feeling, that to me was unkown. So confused I pushed it away, the feeling dying with each passing day. Not satisfied you wouldn't give up, although I truly believed i was stuck. You held me so tight when you were there, but when you were gone things were so unclear. My heart was burning, aching for your touch, i found myself there, deeply in love. Over the years that you mended my heart, you got so close I only thought i pushed us apart. Now I think of you night and day, just to see you I would find a way. You mean so much to me it hurts, but to be apart is what hurts the worst. I cannot count the number of times i wanted to cry, if just once more I could look into your soft green eyes. To feel my hand brush your cheek, pushing my control to the brink. To feel your racing heart beating with mine, knowing that losing you would be all but to die. I can't believe what you have done, you gathered the pieces to my heart and made it one. Maybe someday I can truly repay you, but until then my eternal love will have to do.

I love your writing style, almost as if telling a story in poetic form. Strong words send playful and strong visions to my mind as well. Wonderful job~

Kisses,
~Soulless~
