If I touch her
Maybe she will dream no more
If I accept her
Maybe she will believe once more
She cannot sleep forever
Sometimes I stop and wonder
If shes real or not
If I close my eyes
All of this will go away
Shes not breathing yet here she lies
Behind them she comes to play
I cant help but wonder
If I touch her will she shatter
Draining out all the light
So then my demons will drink me
Keep me
So I cannot wake
She will not wake
Now I stop and wonder
Which of us is real or not
I cant help but to ponder
Was she ever here or not
Yet again if I glance across her
She will soon start to fracture

The somewhat morbid, slightly ambiguous title drew me in...and what I found was indeed a very deep, detailed and cryptic poem. I had to read it over again, in order to fully appreciate it. And I thoroughly enjoyed it the first and second (and third) times through!
