She was a girl Just another girl So young and free Like you and me She was no different Just the same But people bullied her Called her names What did they know? What did they care? Nothing, oh no It wasn't fair
She didn't understand Like a lamb to the slaughter The devil led her by the hand Nobody's daughter Did you try to stop him? Did you try to save her? You knew the way out of sin The way to the Saviour But no...
Her mother left A long time ago Her dad beat her But you wouldn't know It was no time to judge No time to criticise Not when she was Contemplating suicide But what did you know? What did you care? Nothing, oh no It wasn't fair
She didn't understand Like a lamb to the slaughter The devil led her by the hand Nobody's daughter Did you try to stop him? Did you try to save her? You knew the way out of sin The way to the Saviour But no She was no one to you Oh no She meant nothing to you
So let me tell you what happened next And let me tell you why All because of you and your spiteful words This young girl lost her life But can you face a truth as cold as this? Or will you live on beneath a lie? A dozen pills and your goodbye kiss Was enough to end her life
She didn't understand Like a lamb to the slaughter The devil led her by the hand Nobody's daughter Did you try to stop him? Did you try to save her? You knew the way out of sin The way to the Saviour But no She was no one to you Oh no She meant nothing to you

I agree... this could be a song... very well written... I can relate buy knowing a few ppl who would fit this poem...
It's a very chilling thought... a very true thought... I try to help, as well as pray, for those who I know are in situations like his or something similiar. Thank u for sharing...

I liked this poem. It was strong and heartfelt. It made me angry inside because I realize how true it is. I wish people would care! I wish people would love! I wish...I pray!
