Requiem For A Guardian(Pat Tillman Re-Mix)

Contributed by Dralion on Sunday, 25th April 2004 @ 09:40:40 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

Here lies
a servant of his country,
who made an amazing choice.

To turn
his back
on fame and glory.

To stand
and fight
for what he saw
as a higher purpose.

Who did
what he saw as right.

And now will stand
as a hero
for untold generations.

I don't know who he was, but I'm sure he'll be remembered by those who did. Nice tribute.

Beautiful Tribute to a great Hero.
Hero in the physical, mental and spiritual realm. May he be a beacon for all of America.

Read my own tribute to him

Haven't been commenting as such, but see that you are still writing wonderful poetry.
The first word that came into my head when I first heard about this young man and read.
Was Integrity........that's very rare these days...and of course that's why he is a hero.
Beautiful tribute to a very fine young man, who lived by his conscience and listened to it even if he knew it might bring him harm
Love
