Silence Never Answers
The days drift by slowly
But as I get older
Ever more wiser
I still question why
I'm not stronger
Just vulnerable?
And the answer is illusive
And hides behind the silence
And the question asked
Is asked to unheard silence
And the silence never answers
And the question fails
To be recognized
And I just live on knowing
Nothing about my insecurity
And why I can't trust freely
Why I go unnoticed except for cruelty
And why all these things
Damage me from the outside
To the inside
From within to skin
That question never will be answered
And I have to wonder
The silence never answers

| Very strong honest poem..Will it ever be answered? Your last stanza was worth the whole read..Od how You and I both look to the final of poems/..It is all about the ending..Make one that stands out and the whole piece can work..Jennifer your brilliant. |
