in duress
in damage
in disdain
in demise...
comes fortune
comes favor
comes fragrance
comes future
comes the flies...
then calmings
then callings
then classes
then crosshairs
then cries...
find substance
find surface
find sentries
find sickness
find surprise...
it's not the same as before
and i won't be held around still
i suppose.
though you may want a little more
there's nothing left i can kill
you know.
on the surface lay the sores
underneath the blood won't chill
like those.
no it's different than before
leave me to ache on this hill
let me go.
with fervency and no aim:
where are the particulars?
they're gone.
feign dependency all the same
snapshots of more pictures?
so long.
so long it's been since i've held you.
so long to everything else...
so long as they tell you
that
in distance kept
in duress claimed
in damage quoted
in disdain quelled
in demise...
comes fortune
comes favor
comes fragrance
comes future
comes the flies...
then calmings abound
then callings afront
then classes adjourn
then crosshairs arrange
then cries...
find substance
find surface
find sentries
find sickness
find surprise...
while i'm wishing
while i'm waiting
with each wonder
coming asunder
i'll face a smile
every good awhile
then remember
every blunder
