It's hard to see the stars
From the city
And it's hard to see salvation
Through the tears
It's hard to see the moon
In the blinding light of day
And it's hard to see tomorrow
From today
I want to say
That these fears are justified
And I try
But I can't even kid myself
I can't believe that this is right
I never saw myself alone
And I prayed I never would
They tell me to get over you
And I figure that I should
But it's hard to see a mile
With so much to block my view
And it's hard for me to smile
Without you
