This day has come This day will go What tomorrow holds No one can know But here I am and here I'll stay To watch the sun as it slips away To hear the waves as they lap the shore As they've always done and will forevermore And feel the rush as the north winds blow To lay on the dock and close my eyes While up with the birds - my heart - it flies And leaves me dreaming down below When I venture from this place I'll feel a smile on my face For all the beauty here bestowed That leaves a smile when I go
