Will You?

Contributed by yellow_sundragon on Thursday, 29th April 2004 @ 07:47:33 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Will you hold my broken heart,
When the seasons start to part,
When the sky turns black and grey,
When the smoke clears away?

Will you wipe away my tears,
When I'm running from my fears,
When I'm burying the past,
When I'm looking for something to last?

Will you still my screaming nightmares,
When my answers are all unfair,
When my hopes have gone away,
When my dreams can't see the light of day?

Will you bandage up my pride,
When everything runs to hide,
When everything seems against me,
When everything has lost it's reality?

Will you stand beside me to face it all,
Knowing that I'm likely going to fall,
Knowing that I'm not strong enough,
Knowing that what I face is too tough?

Then do not shield me from the light,
Do not tell me to give up my fight.
Do not lock my soul in this curse,
You will only make my life worse.

Great poem I enjoyed my read. I would certainly lend you a broad shoulder to lean and or cry on. Top marks.
