I can see you entwined... in each and every poem I write
You're in every word... every sentence... every phrase
'Cause YOU INSPIRE ME... YES... YOU DO
And it something... you know to be so true!
You inspire me more than any one person... ever has or ever will
I think of you often... especially when I write
So this... my personal note to you...
Shows how much... you are an inspiration in each and every line...
In many of my poems... you have been...
The one that I thought of... and then...
You're the beautiful rose... my heart always imagined...
With those stunningly beautiful eyes... opened so wide...
You're the ANGEL OF LOVE haunting my dreams at night
You're the one who's seeking shelter from the STORMS OF LIFE
You're the one who is SO AMAZING TO ME
You'e the one I'm TOUCHING WITH MY WORDS... so sweetly
You're the one whose house LOVE DOESN'T LIVE THERE ANYMORE
You're the one who's living life on BROKEN PROMISES AND EMPTY DREAMS
You're the one for whom I wrote WHAT MATTERS TO THE HEART...
Because one night... you called me your Aunt Don Don
You're the one that BEAUTY LIES DEEP WITHIN
And you're the one who's CRYING SILENT TEARS again
You're the one who needs SOMEONE TO CARE...
And the someone to JUST LOVE ME too...
You're the one who's LIVIN' LIFE IN CHAOS these days...
But just remember always... somehow... someway...
YOU DON'T HAVE TO WALK ALONE
Just always walk WHERE THE LOVE NEVER ENDS... my friend
I'll always be there waiting for you...
'Cause you BRING OUT THE BEST IN ME
You're the one... I would have loved... to have received... that FOURTH ROSE from...
But I guess... it just wasn't meant to be...
'Cause you're the one who instead gave me...
THE GIFT... THE SIMPLE CHAIN OF LOVE
Now... I'VE JUST GOTTA LET YOU KNOW...
WHEN YOU SPEAK TO ME WITH THOSE BEAUTIFUL EYES...
YOU'RE THE INSPIRATION... THE HEART AND SOUL OF MY POETRY
So as you can plainly see...
You're one of the KEEPERS in my life...
That has so richly blessed me... with life anew
I've always thought about you... quite a lot... my friend...
Since you inspired me to write... yet... once again...
To pick up my... cold... cold... pen
AND SUDDENLY...
Oh... so... suddenly...
If only in my mind... somewhere through time...
You're standing here before me...
Smiling so sweet... so tenderly...
I just want to thank you... my friend...
For giving me back once again...
Something that's been missing from my life...
For what seems like an entire lifetime...
Love and a new purpose to go on...
