process of elimination

Contributed by ReachingZero on Friday, 30th April 2004 @ 05:53:56 PM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

something has changed
maybe it was me
maybe it was you

distorted memories run in the background
time has passed
years have passed

what happened to the fun times
what happened to the compassion
everything seems to have disappeared

somewhere inside, I wonder where you are
the outside is what you've become
I'm not sure what your intentions are

you used to say
"if I ever change in a bad way, let me know"
you've turned a deaf ear to my shouting

maybe it wasn't meant to be like this
maybe it was
maybe I'm the only one who cares

moving along this timeline
no one knows what lies ahead
I always wanted it to involve you

now I'm not so sure.

Hello and a friendly welcome to YPDC. I must say I was really impressed with your poem.

I thought it was excellent.

ReachingZero...I always await your new submissions cause they are always exceptional. This one is awesome! I still say Movies of the Mind is your greatest thus far though. I really love seeing new stuff from you. Please keep posting.
