Killing Certainty
I just keep going farther in this misery
And it's keeping me
I just keep going down and down
To where I can't go on
And the sky is so far up
Everything is keeping me down
And nothing is making me go up
But I can't surrender everything
Even if it keeps me in misery
I'm not strong enough to surrender
But I'm strong enough to get defeated
I just can't go on living this way
But I feel I have no other choice
My entire life has changed
And my life is fading away
And I can't get any of it back
Because with each defeat
I'm pushed farther down
And the farther I go
The more I'm bound to stay
I've jumped into this hole
And I can't climb out
It's just the fate of things
That I'll never get out
I'm the one that chose this path
And I must travel it
Or get lost
I chose my life
And have no other to blame
Never plan on the future
It's not for certain
That certainty is what's killing me
