When she speaks Her audience is hushed Excitement fills the air As she searches for breath In her old body Her eyes have seen many lands Her lips have kissed many men Her soul is as wise as any monk's But her aging body Has halted her adventures But she continues to live Through the stories she spins She now lives through The sparkle in the young children's eyes And their gasps of terror as she tells A story of rescue Truth is not a requirement now Old age is a time of fantasy and fabrication

You also have the gift of telling a story. You did a remarkable job on this poem and made it flow as smoothly as silk.
I loved it, I truly did.
