I Can

Contributed by MisterRight on Friday, 4th October 2002 @ 08:10:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I can erase
Every one of your fears, each of your fallen tears
The doubt, which lies within your heart
And
The uncertainty of the coming years

I can make
Your worries as light as a feather, us the definition of forever
You feel as beautiful as you are
And
A promise to you to always be together

I can give
You passion ever flowing, unconditional love endlessly growing
The relationship youve been longing for
And
A reason to keep your smile glowing

I can turn
Back the hands of time, murky waters to sparkling wine
Your wishes into reality
And
A feeling of love, so sublime

I can hold you
And your heart with love thats true, ever so closely when you are blue
Throughout the lonely nights
And
In my arms with a kiss forever new

I can profess my love
With no more than a sigh, more extreme give you the stars in the sky
By simply saying the words I love you
Or
Without a sound, just the look in my eye

I can promise
To give you a family to adore, Ill show you what life is for
To be with you through good and bad
And
To love you now and forever more

I can show you
A love youve never seen, how it feels to be treated as a queen
The existence of eternal love
And
With me there is no need to dream

I can fulfill
Every desire within your eye, my promises Ive never lied
Your fantasies with a sense of seduction
And
The hopes of love you often try to hide

I can create
A romance with no end, a real life fairytale no pretend
A future without any regrets
And
A world for us that will heaven transcend

I can offer you
Happiness with each new day, constant affection to sweep you away
My soul to keep comforting yours
And
All the love I possess till were old and gray

But I cant make you
Fall in love with me, give us just one chance to be
Believe we were made for each other
Or
Envision this dream that I cant help but see

You can make
This dream of mine come true, because all these things I know I can do
But I cant accomplish a single one
If my life must continue without you

Some poems are evidently straight from the heart. This is a true example of love and longing mixed together in a tender balance of romance. I especially like the way it places the focus of all your hopes and dreams on the person your affection has brought you to rather than yourself.

Nice work...

beautiful writing as always :-) however...although there are a few exceptions -the freakishly smart dude in my calculus class for example (definately not human) - no one just natuarally "gets" discrete math

GO STUDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

This was beautiful! I'm glad you ignored your math long enough to do this, but you need to go study Curtis!!! NY schools are harder than TN's... lol. I loved this...! And I whole heartedly agree with this. You can't make the heart love somebody, and when it falls you can't get it back... A hard lesson to learn, but worth it just the same! Great write Curtis!
