To The One I Love

Contributed by Night_Child on Sunday, 2nd May 2004 @ 08:22:34 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I sit here broken in this chair
Trying desperately to move on
To no avail

I thought you were made
For me
I was wrong
Horribly wrong

I said I'd be fine
Not to sit
And miss the way
Your arms felt around me
But all I've been able to do
Is cry
Over you

I stare blankly at the screen
Reading the words over and over again
"I don't want to be with you"
"I don't love you"
My body shaking
The tears won't come

I remember that night
Just like it was yesterday
But now the tears come
They come often
As i remain stuck
Stuck in those moments
When I thought you loved me

I feel so worn
Like a favourite pair of jeans
Worn over and over again
My eyes hurt
I ache all over
I feel aged
Because I can't move on
I can't live without you

God forbid You ever listen to me scream
Your grip always tightening
Around my weary heart
Was I nothing?

I'm going through a bad breakup.. I know exactly how you feel. I feel empty, like i'm hanging on the edge of a cliff and the one person who can help me, wants nothing to do with me.
