Love Life Scrabble

Contributed by pumpkinpie on Monday, 3rd May 2004 @ 02:21:07 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

The letters inside her head tangled together
Spell out her every emotion she had hoped obscure
As dreams about him through her body sparkle and glitter
The squares inside her head reveal wishful thinker

Her eyes observe the male opponents' motions
But letters from his gestures reveal absurd directions
Her soul tries to soar onto his hidden board
To acknowledge which words from his heart she can afford

The clock ticks as the game begins to unfold
But the ninety degree angles are filled with void
Her answers cannot be given until his turn is played
Her heart champion she simply cannot evade

And how can she when the game is played in secrecy
The ink on wood invisible, torn to debris
When the bag of letters between them will never be opened
And the board of longings and truth are forever to be held within

???

Very interesting. Is there a story to this? Some of the word plays are wonderful. (No pun intended.)

Dear Little Pumpkin Pie,
I was married to a man just like this Ppie, And I knew it wasn't love, because Love shouldn't hurt......Love is kind, Love is gracious, Love is fine.,,,,so inorder to deal with him I began to conjure another person up in my mind.......a nother man that truly loved me. Was always kind, and loving, generous, and giving. When I read this poem, it was written so skillfully, Ppie I could place myself back into that same time frame and remember what I had done.
That was the only defense I had against his ugliness......and if this is someone in your life now, drop him like you would a hot potato he hasn't the slightest inkling of what true love is!
love you.....you deserve so much love and kindness, settle for no less!
ever
consue

Thanks Loving, but this is meant for the one I love dearly that doesn't even know about my love for him because of circumstances that cannot permit our love to take place and the pain I feel inside about not being able to tell him everything because of this.

Love is sometimes like that, true love when revealed will leave no secrecy and love will grow deep and strong, all other types of "love" leave heart ache and questioning of self and others. I hope true love will be revealed in your life one day.

It sounds as if your real opponent is not necessarily the guy in this poem; its circumstances that you know this guy in. The game of scrabble is a great way of you spelling out your feelings - if you chose to or hide the words you long to say and visa versa for him.

What a really good poem and idea. As always you write it so eloquently, so controlled yet uncontrolled.

-hope your situation can sort itself out for you mate...
