A bittersweet hope lives inside me now; I can feel the building excitement grow. That bittersweet hope flows through me now; the excitement is starting to show. A future full of hope, green grass...blue skies... not like the burned ground of yesterday's lies. Hope so bittersweet resulting from facing today with yesterday's scars facing me. Hope so bittersweet because I know what each of those scars mean to me. A future with a reason, beyond the bloody, wrenching pain. A future always there, that finally I can see again. Bittersweet hope, so fragile, so meek; with one stroke it would disappear from today. Bittersweet hope, so bitter and sweet; it's there despite all we've had to say. Hope now for a future, free from pain's addicting hold. Hope now for a future, free from that lonely steel cold. Bittersweet hope, knowing I can't revisit the past. Bittersweet hope, that this future will last. Your renewing hand upon my heart, your ever present love holding tight, you've changed the desire for pain's release to tears to make everything inside all right. Such a bittersweet hope, I have found in you. What a bittersweet hope, this I've found in you. But hope nonetheless, and too, strength for tomorrow; You've granted this heart room to finally grow.

This is lovely. Hope is what keeps most of us going. Hope for today, hope for tomorrow, hope for love, hope for life. It gives us that one constant to strive for all through life. Without hope we would probably all perish from lack of it.
