This Girl

Contributed by melis on Saturday, 5th October 2002 @ 08:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

This girl has nothing much to give.
This girl has no reason still to live.
Neither pretty, famous, good or rich,
Just A silly, selfish, childish *****.
What nerve to think she has the right?
To struggle so, and fuss and fight.
Who is this girl to argue or demand?
To moan and whimper and command.
What are all these needs she must address?
Everyone else would settle for less?
Oh, if only she could take them all,
Take her desries and roll them in a ball.
Then throw the lot of them away,
Have no outstanding bills to pay,
Or simply pay the fine and leave.
Cut her loss and quit. Whod grieve?
Everything treasured leads to something lost.
Only nothing has nothing as its cost.
Better this girl doesnt resist.
Better this girl doesnt exist.

So, in a narrow little room in a narrow little street,
This young girl lived who had lately lost her mind,
And amongst her pencils and her books,
And her undistinguished, homely looks,
In a place where tragedy and pathos never meet,
She took her life and left the rest behind.

How horrible. It is so sad when a person takes their own life. Everyone is here for a reason. This was a good write, but so so sad.
