I live in a house
as you can see
but not everybody
seems to like me
as I lay beneath a blanket of stars
I think, and think, and think for hours
To be well-known like the movie stars
or what it would be like to be behind bars
I'm American, is what I say
American to this very day
and as I sit here today
telling the things my heart must say
all i really want to state is
I'm a proud American to this date!

at first pen, pretty good... better than most in the 1st round! not really into patriotism too much, but still i like this... ;0)
