Images of birth and life and death inside my mind Sifting through the ashes Hard to see, too hard to find Everpresent voices Entities that used to shine Ever fading visions that once saw but have gone blind
Fill the void before you leave You saw me here, could taste my fear Wishing for the pain to stop and then you can return
Feel the life run from me as I try to seek you out Rummaging through memories Falling quiet. You have to shout Feeling through the darkness Not knowing what is about Fighting through the past and piecing what has been cut out
Raise the light as you come back Can hear me scream within this dream Waiting for the pain to come and bring you here before me
You arise to me at night and haunt me in my dreams Is the hate still burning Floats behind your eyes and gleams Distant painful laughter Yet inside my head the screams Trying to get out, cant let them, dont know what it means
Smile at me like you used to Give me some proof, show me the truth So I dont have to kill that part of you that lives within

First of all welcome to the YPDC. I found your poem to be well written and like the flow of words that seemed to flow naturally. Thanks for a good read.
