Deceived by a hallucination
That youll be here with me
Clinging to a delusion
That you actually care
I sit here in despair
And wonder why you cant see
What you do to me
How come I cant
Draw myself away
Move on
Forget you
And live my own
Brighter day
But without you
My life
Just seems so empty
Whos gonna
Win this battle over me
Why cant I tell you
That you tear me apart
Maybe its because
You hold my heart
And you do actually care
Causing me some pain
You couldnt bear
So youd walk away
Not knowing what
Youd do to Wayne
I wonder if its better
To love
But never see
Or to have
But not quite
My life will never
Work out right
You try to please
Everybody
In doing that
Youre bound to forget
Somebody
Too bad
They cared the most
That somebody was me
Why do you focus
On those youll never please
Giving yourself
Trying to satisfy their greed
Ignoring the fact
That youre all
They should ever need
Till you realize this
Ill always be cursed
By my hopeless wish
That you
Might feel
The same way I do
That you
Might love me too
You felt some love
And immediately shut down
Somehow youre comfortable
When love aint around
You think everythings fine
Cause it all seems cool
When will you realize
A broken heart
Doesnt make a sound
Cause Im dying inside
And nobody knows it
Except me

| Wayne, this poem was really sweet and kewl. I liked it alot and it made me want to sing the Lion King song when Mufassa has that bird in the cage and it starts to sing,"Nobody knows the trouble i've seen, nobody knows my sorrow!" LOL! sorry but it did and i still like it and i believe that if u read a poem you had better comment on it and I hate seeing a poem that has been read and has no comments at all. |
