Although we walk so far away
I can't shake the thought
that all my roads
lead back to you.
That small crack you gave my heart
has left it too intact
to scare me away
from your door.
Pretending I can see you again
without falling apart
leaves me with the notion
that I'm playing a fool.
I don't want to admit this here
but you are my great wish
I want to sleep with your smile
wake to your warmth.
Someone, tell me how far away
the one you love has to wander
for you to set them free
for your heart to move on.
