As the light slowly dies, my mind begins to expand This epiphany making me numb Cherished deception forged from my own hand In the midst of deafening silence, sleep refuses to come.
Rejecting ingrained religious belief But habitually drawn to the cross at my neck Trembling with grief, seeking relief The world around me is a wreck.
With empty eyes and sunken cheeks My fingers caress the crimson flow Its my demise as lifeblood seeps This should have ended long ago.

This is very good for having writer's block almost a year... I think your block has
completely smashed to bits and pieces.
Thank you for sharing! |

It is very good. I like the way you ended it. I can't say much else, but very nice writing. |
