My Heart Fades Away
Absence makes the heart grow fonder?
This I doubt that this is true.
I swear my heart could grow no bigger
It is so full with love for you.
So when you went away my dearest
I simply, just ceased to exist.
I waited patiently in a no mans land
To be resurrected by your kiss.
Time seemed to go by so slowly, my love
But then my heart did race
Today, you will come home again to me
I cant wait to see your face.
I cant wait to feel your hand in mine
Your kisses soft and true
And hear your sweet voice say to me
My darling, I love you.
Does absence make the heart grow fonder?
Maybe, I just have to say.
That when you are not close me
My heart just fades away.
