I watch you now

All the games we played, The time we waste. I watch you now, Years older than your age, Forgetting how I loved you When we were younger than Rememberance can gauge. These lines traced, Paths we've taken, Ways we've strayed. Broken hearts Or worn them on our sleeves, Now we're just too worn and wearied To know what to believe. WE've passed by one another, Crossed each other out, Allowed this to die, Too busy to bother. Consumed by resentment, Ravaged by our jealousies Til it ate away at what Led us to the tendancy To reach out and remember All the reasons we cared, All the reasons we're together. I watch you now, A different man, Trying to hold onto that thought, Forgetting how we've struggled, And learning that All is not lost Until you've fought.
