if this is it
the last step
our last ride
on this broken down train
then we are lost.
we're nowhere near home
but home is broken anyways.
if this is the top
and we can't move farther towards the truth,
all that's left is to fall.
but others seem so much more content.
is it all a facade?
when we strive to be like them
is that why we fail?
beneath the cars and the clothes
the money and the looks
are they just as broken as the rest?
don't we all bleed red blood?
so jump.
take the fall.
take one for the team.
tell us how far down the answers lie.
leap to your death.
maybe your fortune is better than ours.
maybe someone will catch you.
but if this place is called hell,
what lies below?
what is worse than the pain involved in mortal existence?
