Warring Peace

Contributed by essentially9 on Tuesday, 11th May 2004 @ 10:36:35 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Warring Peace

Much of my thinking
Has been indirect
Much of my feeling
Has been direct
Which is killing me
At this moment
But it's not stopping me
From committing suicide
Of the mind and soul
And leaving death
To time's worth

But right now
Nothing matters to me
And I doubt if it shall be
Ever again, for it's useless
Because in the end
It's completely pointless
My indirectness and directness
Are battling for indecisive action

And I fear too much
Which will win and rule
Everything about me
Because one wrong thing
Can escalate to many
The causalities of this war
Will be costly
But the peace started it
And war will finish it
Much of everything
Will turn into nothing

I like this, it is very good. Makes you think a lot about yourself. Thanks for sharing, this was really good.

I appreciate your style but something about this piece doesn't sit right with me. It's almost like the words come at you bluntly but they're too difficult to find any meaning in them...
