let me be free
let me loose from the shackles of conformity
let me choose what i want to be
i got the right
to be who i want to be
why you keep trying
to hold me here
then keep me back
to shut me down
i cannot be a part to a society that doesn't care
i will not be a slave to a god that doesn't exist
i will not conform
if i wanted
i could be like you
but
i'd rather eat ****

you know, i really like your poem, its well done, although i do believe it may be possible that you might use another verb and noun, lol, when i started writing i was told by a friend of mine, harley hann, ~well known writer of pc books, that if i wanted to say something in a more meaningful way, look for a better word and i would reach more people and touch more hearts, just a thought, keep writing, hugs n' love nessa
p.s. i dont care much for the civilized world anymore myself so i live on a mountain in a forest:) |
