Jealousy, cant compare
Cant you see
Just how badly
I yearn to be
Just like you
Avoidant, blank stare
Pretending, I dont care
Feigning happiness
I must suppress
Feelings of distress
Cant I be just like you?
A sour face
Try to erase
Feelings of disgrace
When Im near you
Feeling, unneeded
Pleas, unheeded
Never, succeeded
At being just like you
How do you think
That makes me feel?
You already look so good
I know I cant compare
What do you think
I undergo each day?
You already know you look good
And I know I cant compare
Cant compare
Its so unfair
I cant compare
You get
All you want
Whenever you want
And me?
I get
I get nothing
Nothing but heartache
Nothing but powerful feelings
Of anger
Of jealousy
Of envy
Feelings
Of resignation
Because I know

Yes, I have indeed, and rather a lot . . . an emotion which this poem captures perfectly. The bit "can't I be just like you?"-- well, somehow, the way it was put just made it sound so right . . . almost hopeless yet eager and with a desparate yearning . . . very well written.

this is really good.....I know how you feel....no one can compare to anyone remember that! Infact I wrote something about that! It's called The Fight To Be Like You....yeah but try to just be yourself and not like anyone else! your yourself not "them"!
